Integrative Neurosomatic Therapy Certification

Posturology Certification

Neurosomatic Educators is now offering Certification in Posturology, the core of Integrative Neurosomatic Therapy.  This certification was developed for therapists and certified athletic trainers who wish to be trained in Paul St. John's techniques for measuring and charting posture, analyzing gait, visual acuity and balance, but may not wish to continue on through the INT certification process at this time.  As a Certified Posturologist, you will posess tools that will expand your practice and your ability to develop successful treatment plans for your clients.

Certification begins with Posturology 101, the basics of postural assessment, measurement, and charting.  In Posturology 202, the next step toward certification, you will learn advanced techniques in the areas of gait, vision and balance.  Once you have completed these two classes, we will review your ability to properly measure posture.  Students may either send us a videotape of themselves taking postural measurements and charting, or an instructor will be present to observe them taking postural measurements and charting.  The final step to becoming a Certified Posturologist involves locating an article on the subjects of posture, gait, biomechanics or visual acuity, published no earlier than January 2000.  Students will photocopy the article, write a synopsis of the article, interpret and explain whether or not you agree with the article and why.

As a Certifed Posturologist you are able to take any of the Somatic or Neurosomatic level classes having completed both level prerequisites.

Somatic Certification

Therapists that choose to become a certified somatic therapist are making a commitment that will immediately separate them from their peers - a commitment to helping people in pain. The information presented in these courses is the basis for the entire Integrative Neurosomatic Therapy system. Like all of our certification levels the certificate is for a period of two years. Renewal will require 20 hours of continuing education from an approved list available through Neurosomatic Educators. Upon completion of the 4 Somatic courses there is a written and hands-on test covering all of the material taught in Posturology 101 and all of the Somatic Certification courses. Therapists previously certified through Paul St. John will be allowed to test out of their somatic certification after taking Posturology 101. The technique review video's are recommended for those wishing to test-out of this level due to the numerous differences between the new CINT program and Paul's previous work.

Neuro-Certification

Neuro-certification is for therapists looking to help patients with more complex cases. These courses will discuss the subtler anatomical relationships as well as structures that can have a systemic effect on the neurological system. Certified Neuro-therapists are those looking for answers why traditional therapy is not working for their patients.

Once both certification levels have been completed therapists will earn the designation Certified Neurosomatic Therapist and will be eligible to take the masters level courses

Masters

Masters level courses are designed for the top 1% of the therapists. These are the people not only dedicated to helping people but also dedicated to advancing the field of Integrative Neurosomatic Therapy. Masters level certified therapists will be able to act as mentors for other therapists looking to become Masters Level Certified Integrative Neurosomatic Therapists.
